The Right Words

Gratitude Journal – Day Four

 The Right Words

I am grateful for words because they give us a way to communicate. Words fill books that tell us beautiful stories, inform us about history and give us hope for the future. Words can give us knowledge and offer a different perspective. Words can make us feel significant and allow us to make others feel important. Words allow us to express our feelings and allow us a choice on how to use them.

Please take a minute to consider the important message about the use of words in the wonderful quote below. The author is anonymous.

The six most important words: I admit I made a mistake.

The five most important words: You did a good job.

The four most important words: What is YOUR opinion?

The three most important words: If you please.

The two most important words: Thank You.

The one most important word: We.

The least important word: I.

Ending on a Positive Note:  Father God, I thank you for the gift of words that allow us the ability to communicate with others. Teach me to always use my words carefully. To speak words of kindness and love and always use words that express gratitude.
