Through the Eyes of a Child

Gratitude Journal-Day Seventeen

It is said that children laugh over 300 times a day while adults only laugh about 15 times each day. Jokes that feature a child’s viewpoint of life always make me laugh. Here are two little jokes I heard recently that made me laugh. Hope they give you a little chuckle.

Weddings: Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, “Why is the bride dressed in white?” The mother replied, “Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life.” The child thought about this for a moment and then said, “So why is the groom wearing black?”

Little Boys Bragging: Three little boys are on the school playground bragging about their fathers. The first boy says, “My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a poem and they give him $50.”

The second boy says, “That’s nothing. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a song and they give him $100.”

The third boy says, “I got you both beat. My Dad scribbles a few words on a piece of paper, he calls it a sermon and it takes eight people to collect all the money!”

Ending on a Positive Note: There’s an old saying that says “We don’t stop laughing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop laughing!” So let your inner child out and join me in a good laugh.
